Boxfresh is a British fashion label which emerged from the influences of the UK dance scene in thre late 1980s. The label started by selling customised t-shirts and sweaters and now boasts a full clothing range from designer t-shirts, jeans and of course men’s trainers. Influenced by the casual skater style the Boxfresh Fungo 2 trainers and Sparko Combo trainers have a cool plimsoll look but with the edge and quality that you get from a leading designer.

The trainers have a low profile rubber sole and I just love how the Sparko trainers have cassettes etched into the rubber sole… a throw back to the dance scene which inspired the label. These casual trainers have a simple canvas upper and the style works well with a number of looks but I can imagine them working great with a pair of jeans and a Franklin & Marhsall polo… cool, casual and bang on trend!

I have been skating these for about a month and still holding up!! These shoes have a great board feel and really good grip. I felt as if they weren’t stylish though. I had the brown ones and they felt pretty bland.

Something that I would suggest is to skate these everyday until you get the feel of them and then when you rip them ( wont be in a while!) you will want to get another pair!!

Also, I have noticed they absorb water well! It was raining very hard one day and walking home from school I was stepping in puddles and no water was getting in them! When water would get in my Tonics I would usually leave them to dry and they dried in practically a day! Very nice! Also they are very easy to slip on and very comfortable for when you are in a rush!

Another thing I had a problem with was how the laces ripped in less than 2 days. But it doesn’t really matter, you can still skate them!

Spartan low DC skate shoes
I bought these shoes about 5 months ago and I loved them from the start. They were stylish (I got complements from my friends), very comfortable for daily use, but they have fallen apart since then. If you aren’t looking for anything too durable, I strongly suggest these.

DC makes what I think are the best skate shoes. They are stylish enough to wear anytime, and skateable enough to skate great right out of the box. The shoes are super durable. They have triple stiching in the kickflip and ollie area for extra durability, and even when the stiching is worn through, the fabric doesn’t separate (must be glued). There is also a lace-saving feature where you can run the lowest two rows of laces behind an extra flap of leather to save your laces from destruction via griptape. SUPER comfortable. AWESOME skate shoe.
